Jan Club News

Jan 02 at 10:27pm - khsdba

Well 2012 is gone and 2013 is here and so is the snow so get out and enjoy the trails, back country and even the warming shelter as everything is in full swing.

Update on Trails:

1. All but 5 intersection signs are up - Thank you to Mihkel, Randy, Niko, AJ, Oskar, Dave for helping get them out on the trails and installed.

2. Winter logging is happening and this impacts us all so review the link with updated information and a map of the trail changes and be safe. Most of all stay off the plowed roads as they are "CLOSED".

Jan 5/6 - Is the first dog sled race out of Frog Lake Sno-park. Please leave this area to the race teams and supports and park either at Skyline or White River. Trails are open, but if you come upon a team either stop to let them by or turn around as it is a timed race and they are not stopping to let you by. Thank you for understanding and supporting them as they do us. You are welcome to come and watch, but remember it is a race.

To that point, we are still in need of some help on Sat or Sun from 8-3 to work the race course intersections and direct teams in the correct direction or catch break-away teams. It is also a great way to watch and enjoy the race.

Jan 8th - Is our next club meeting at 7PM. Right after the meeting will be the CPR training class with certificate. (Groomers should all have this. Hint Hint) We should all have this and can never know when we might need it so come out and take the class. It is 3 hrs and we expect to be done before 11PM. Please RSVP to this email so we can correctly know numbers so the trainers are well prepared.

Get your membership in and make you name count to help the club and the district win the OSSA membership drive of $500 for the club and $500 for our district.  General membership and Business membership both count so go out and get your riding buddies or your favorite business and make the numbers count.  We only have 2 more weeks.  It is 5 clicks, $50 and your done for the season.
